Exploring the Magic Leap World
Objective
Work with the XR UX team in envisioning what the Magic Leap App store experience could be within the extended reality experience (headset on). For the first time, I was able to think outside of the literal box and extend my imagination and knowledge of interaction into the extended reality of spatial interaction. We kicked off a bunch of design sprints on-site as well as met with some progressive creative agencies to attempt to capture this first-time experience. Below are the initial conceptual models I designed based on our discovery sessions.
Key highlights.
I utilized basic VR paradigms to assist in breaking outside of the normal thought process of design-based thinking.
I designed multiple layouts and conceptual models using Photoshop, Sketch, and VR tools to emulate the XR app store experience.
I met weekly with other creative teams, developers, and PMs to share learnings, layouts, restrictions, and possibilities. What a wild ride.
